Funeral Services for Betty Ann Bleckley, 76, of Cornelia, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with the Rev. Shannon Irvin officiating. Interment will be held at the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton.
Mrs. Bleckley went to her heavenly home Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022.
Born Nov. 9, 1945, in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Louise Patrick Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Doug Bleckley; sister, Frances Moore Anderson; and a nephew.
Betty Ann was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was retired from Chenocetah Retirement Home where she had served as a CNA. Betty Ann had also worked several years as a hairdresser at Styleorama in Cornelia. After retirement, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, watch her soap operas, and listen to rock music. She was known to her grandchildren and many others as "Mi-Mi."
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and David Beasley of Cornelia; grandchildren, Logan Howard and Greyson Howard, both of Cornelia; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Gail Moore of Toccoa; sister, Brenda McWhorter of Rockdale; three nieces; and a host of cousins as well.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Gethsemane Baptist Church, 400 Furniture Dr., Cornelia, GA 30531.
