Private graveside services for Birdie Lee Moss, 94, of Clarkesville, were held at Habersham Cemetery.
Ms. Moss passed away Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.
Born Feb. 6, 1926, in the Habersham Mill Community, Birdie was the daughter of the late Hoyt Franklin Moss and the late Ola Trotter Moss. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bill Pitts; brother, Larry Franklin Moss; and nephew, Sam Pitts.
She was the secretary for the county extension agent for over 30 years, later serving in the USDA office for five years. Birdie has been described by a fellow worker as a walking encyclopedia for the farmers of Habersham County. Birdie was a loyal and very active member of Clarkesville Baptist Church having served in a number of different positions over the years.
Survivors include nephew, Fred Pitts and his wife, Cheryl of Clarkesville; great-nephew, Scott Pitts his wife, Georgia and their children, Addie Pitts, Hogan Pitts and Morgan Pitts.
