Funeral services for Bonnie Lou McConnell Tench, 89, of Demorest, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Daryl Lovell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Tench passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019.
Born Nov. 12, 1929, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Marion A. and Verlee Cowart McConnell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy J. Tench.
She was a member of The Torch Worship Center. Mrs. Tench was a home maker and a seamstress, and was known as "Granny" to her grandchildren. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Drucilla Tench Bryson and Roy Lee Bryson of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. and Bernice Tench of Demorest, and Sidney Judson and Carol Tench, of Demorest; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild on the way; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel, Demorest.
