Funeral services for Carol Frances Davis Randall, 90, of Zebulon, were held Monday, July 18, at 1 p.m. in Liberty Hill Baptist Church, 2957 Mt. Carmel Road, Hampton. Mr. Darrell Johnson and Kelly DeJarnett officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Randall passed away July 15, 2022 at her home. She was born in the Toccoa area and was the daughter of the late Wimpy Samuel Davis and Mary Frances "Doll" Fricks Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Randall and her siblings, Clyde Davis, Ruby Davis Fricks, Hershel Davis, Leroy Cash, and Edwin Davis.
Carol began her career at Rexall Drugs in Atlanta. She met and married Melvin Randall on May 14, 1961, and then became a homemaker. She returned to work at Hampton Elementary in the school cafeteria when her daughter, Nancy, started school. She worked there until her retirement. Carol was a long-time member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Hampton where she helped wherever there was a need. She was dedicated to learning and living out God's truth. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. Carol enjoyed trips with friends and family, cooking, sewing, and crafting. As her eyesight began to fail, she started listening to preaching on CD and tapes.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Annette Goodman (Lee Goodman); grandchildren, Chris Goodman and Samantha Skidmore (Ronald Skidmore); great-grandchildren, McKaylee Goodman, Ryleigh Skidmore, Abbigail Skidmore and Maddison Skidmore; sister, Annette Davis Blackburn; and lots of extended family, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon assisted the family with arrangements.
