Private family graveside services for Carolyn Joyce Herron Young, 77, of Ninety Six, South Carolina, were held Monday in Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa, with the Rev. Phillip Howle and the Rev. Marc Vickers officiating
Mrs. Young passed away, Friday, April 24, 2020, at her home.
Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Warren Elra and Sara Grace Goolsby Herron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Alden Young Jr.; son, Warren J. Watson; and a sister, Brenda Westbrook.
She was a graduate of North Habersham High School. Mrs. Young was a member of Siloam Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Surviving are five children, Kathleen A. Wright of James Island, South Carolina, Philip B. Watson and wife, Mary of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, Mary Elizabeth DiPaolo and husband, Charlie of Charleston, South Carolina, Suzanne C. Robinson and husband, Raymond of Ninety Six, South Carolina, and Thomas F. Young and wife, Christy of Woodstock; one sister, Shirley (Mark) Palmer of Louisville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
