A memorial service for Carolyn Sue Luthi, 79, of Clarkesville, was held Tuesday, June 28, at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville. The Rev. Wayne Fowler officiated.

Mrs. Luthi went home to be with the Lord Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Born June 10, 1943, in the small town of Dockery in Richmond, Missouri, she was a daughter of the late Donald Franklin and Pauline Schofield Maddux. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Stewart Carson and granddaughter, Brandy Wilson.

Carolyn was a cosmetologist for over 60 years and was the owner of The Masters Touch in Clarkesville for over 40 years. In her spare time, she was an avid reader, accomplished cook, and enjoyed flower gardening. Most of all, Carolyn was a very loving wife, dedicated mother, and doting grandmother. She loved the Lord and her family with her whole heart. Carolyn attended Free Chapel Worship Center in Gainesville.

Survivors include her loving husband of 34½ years, Mitchell Luthi; children, Sue Lynne Wood (James), Anita K. Carson (Alan), and Adam Glenn Wilson (Revonda); stepchildren, James Mitchell Luthi (Pam) and Angela Butcher (Kenneth); grandchildren, Paul James Wood, John David Wood, Ashton Wilson, Allie Wilson, Glenn Wilson Sr., and Aleasha Hardin Jimenez (Johnny); great-grandchildren, Blythe Wilson, Jimah Wilson, Paislee Vinson, Paxton Vinson, Mason Wilson, Nathan Wilson, Glenn Wilson Jr., Kinsley Wilson, and Riley Swet; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia K. Carfao (Nicholas) and Evelyn Smith (Vincent); brother and sister-in-law, David Maddux (Cyndi); and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
