Funeral services for Charles Robert London, 85, of Demorest, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 17, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Lewis Fortner officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairfield Baptist Church cemetery.

  Mr. London passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021.

  Born Dec. 21, 1935, in Cornelia, he was a son of the late Thomas L. and Viola Barrett London. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Taylor London; brothers, the Rev. Verner London, Carl London, and Thomas B. London; and sisters, Eulene Murphy, Ellora Montgomery, and Imogene Kimbrell.

Mr. London was a bus driver for the Habersham County School System for 47 years. He loved his family and grandkids and in his spare time he enjoyed gardening. Mr. London was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Patricia London of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Randy Ramey of Demorest; grandchildren, Tabitha Ramey, Tianna Ramey, Christopher London, and Julie London; brothers, Douglas London and Maylon London, both of Cleveland, and Lamar London of Eastanollee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
