Funeral services for Charles William Standridge, 78, of Cleveland, were held Sunday, Nov. 15, at Bethel Temple Congregational Church. The Rev. Wayne Hicks and the Rev. Ed Hood officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Standridge passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020.
Born Oct. 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Talmon Lee and Irene Elrod Standridge.
Charles was a great Christian man who loved the Lord, his church, and family and friends. He was greatly loved and well-known as Papa Charles.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara Clark Standridge; daughter and son-in-law, Deena and Marvin Cowart of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Freda Standridge of Cleveland; grandchildren, Mitchell and Laray Abernathy of Cleveland, Alex Trent Cowart of Cleveland, Alex Timothy Seabolt of Cleveland, and Austin Richard Seabolt of Toccoa; great-granddaughters, Kiersten Grayce Abernathy and Rylee Madison Abernathy, both of Cleveland; sister, Rutheleen Hooper of Demorest; several nieces and other loved ones also survive.
