Funeral services for Cheryl Elaine Crumley, 63, of Habersham Mills community, were held Tuesday, May 18, at Habersham Baptist Church with interment following in Habersham Cemetery.

Ms. Crumley went to be with the Lord May 14, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

Born Dec. 17, 1957, she was the only child of the late Barteen Sosebee Crumley and the late Earl Crumley.

She was a lifelong resident of the Habersham Mills community and a graduate of Habersham Central High School. Cheryl's life was notable for her faithful service to her church, her work, and her family, friends, and fur-babies.

Cheryl was baptized at a young age at Habersham Baptist Church where she later taught young children in Mission Friends and older adults in Sunday School. She served for many years as a coordinator for Operation Christmas Child.

"Miss Cheryl" served the people of Habersham County by working as a food service supervisor at Habersham Medical Center for more than 40 years. "Miss Cheryl" walked many extra steps to make sure that hospital patients and residents of Habersham Home received food of their choosing for comfort and familiarity. Her dedication will be missed.

In addition, Cheryl loved quality time spent with family, friends, and her fur-babies. She enjoyed gospel music, game shows, a good steak, and the Atlanta Falcons.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Habersham Baptist Church, 506 Old Habersham Mills Rd. Demorest, GA. 30535, with a designation for Operation Christmas Child.
