A funeral mass for Claire Lillian Aitcheson Panetta, 86, of Demorest, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, at St. Mark Catholic Church with Father Jose Luis Hernandez-Ayala officiating.

Mrs. Panetta passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born Sept. 5, 1935, in San Francisco, California, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Kaye Nelson Aitcheson.

Claire was a graduate of Castlemont High School in Oakland, California. Over her business career, she was employed by Anchor Hocking, MacMillan Bloedel, and the Mortgage Bankers Association of Florida. In her spare time, Claire enjoyed being with her family and friends, quilting, sewing, painting, and reading. She was an avid volunteer and board member for Sharing & Caring Place for over 14 years and was an active member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Clarkesville.

Survivors include her loving husband, Donald Panetta; children, Steve Panetta, Larry Panetta, Constance Everett, and John Panetta; grandchildren, Alexandria Everett, Matt Panetta, Syd Coalla, and Carr Panetta; great-grandchild, Kohen Byrd; other relatives; and cherished friends.
