A time of remembrance and visitation for Darrell A. Welborn, 67, of Habersham County, will be held Friday, Nov. 8, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Welborn passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019.
Born Aug. 9, 1952, in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of Mary Hoppenbrouwer Lindsay and the late Major Bill Welborn. In addition to his father, Mr. Welborn is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Welborn.
Mr. Welborn graduated from North Habersham High School and he was a United States Army Veteran. He was a self-employed block mason for over 35 years and an avid NASCAR and Georgia Bulldogs fan.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Mary and Bill Lindsay of Troy, Alabama; son, Eric Welborn (Heather) of Cornelia; daughter, Laura Waters of Mt. Airy; brother, Bill Welborn of Hollywood; best friend and caregiver, Stephanie Snow of Clarkesville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
