Funeral services for Diane Alexander Roach, 72, of Cleveland, were held Sunday, Feb. 6 in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. W.A. Jenkins and Pastor Bob Petty officiated. Interment was at VFW Cemetery.

Mrs. Roach passed away Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022.

Born Nov. 28, 1949, in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late Jerry Lee Jake Alexander and Estelle Garner Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Sam" Roach; son, Perry Wayne Shirley; grandson, Easton Singleton; and brother, Eddie Alexander.

Diane worked several years at Habersham Mills and was the owner and operator of Roach Sanitation for 15 years. She was a member of New Bridge Baptist Church and attended Life Church in Baldwin. She loved to travel, loved her grandchildren, and was known as "Granny" to everyone.

Diane is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sonya Shirley Hix and Reggie of Alto; granddaughter, PresLee Hix; brother and sister-in-law, Otis Doc Alexander and Judy of Cleveland; best friends and traveling buddies, Brenda Barrett and Deb McClellon; business associate and friend, Dale Littrell; and several nephews and cousins.
