Funeral services for Dorothy "Dot" Beaty Poole, 92, of Cornelia, were held Monday, Dec. 14, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. James Gunn and the Rev. David Turner officiating. Interment followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Poole passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2020.
Born May 18, 1928, in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late Cornel Hampton and Alma Kelly Beaty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Beulah Head and Grace Wilbanks.
Mrs. Poole assisted her husband with watch making at Time Service. She enjoyed flowers, spending time with her family, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia.
Survivors include her loving husband of 73 years, Gene Poole of Cornelia; sons, Tom Poole and spouse, Marcus Young of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Rick Poole of Waipahu, Hawaii; grandson, Riverson Poole of Waipahu, Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Hayven and Aveyah; and sisters, Glenda Craven of Macon, and Katherine Farris of Tucson, Arizona.
