Ellen Hamilton Elsen, 85, of Mt. Airy, was laid to rest Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Old Timpson Cove Cemetery with Pastor Connie Berry officiating.
Mrs. Elsen went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019.
Born March 21, 1934, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Susie Martin Hamilton.
Mrs. Elsen was retired from Daylight Donuts and she was a member of Stonepile Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Don Elsen of Mt. Airy; daughter, Laura Halferty of St. Petersburg, Florida; sons, Victor Orr of Mt. Airy, Daniel Orr (Beverly) of Mt. Airy, Todd Hamilton of Clarkesville, and Dave Langston of Clayton; brother, Terrell Hamilton, sisters, Dorothy Tart, Tex Burns, Tess Franklin and Helen Birdie May; as well as seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
