Funeral services for Ernest "Edwin" Brock, 70, of Clarkesville, were held Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis Fortner and the Rev. Nathan Nix officiated. Interment followed at Amy's Creek Baptist Church.
Mr. Brock passed away Jan 30, 2022.
A White County native, he was the son of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Caudell) Brock. In addition to his parents, preceded in death by siblings, Evelyn Brock, J.B. Brock, Thomas Brock, Fannie Lee Gravitt, and Moselle York.
He attended Nacoochee School. Edwin was a talented artist, expressing his creativity through leatherwork, painting, music, sculpting, sketching, taxidermy and woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Brock; daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Steve Dover; and son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan (Jonny) and Amanda Brock, all of Clarkesville; sister, Maeonia Coker of Demorest; four grandsons, Corbett Dover, Tanner Dover, and Austin Young, all of Clarkesville; grandson and wife, Patrick and Alex Brock of Toccoa, as well as the mother of his children, Patricia Edwards of Demorest.
