Funeral services for Ernesto Santaclara Jimenez, 47, of Mt. Airy, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Clarkesville, with Father Fabio A. Alvarez Posada officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Jimenez passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019.
Born May 05, 1972, in Cheran Michoacan, Mexico, he was a son of Magdalena Jimenez of Cheran Michoacan, Mexico, and the late Pablo Santaclara.
Ernesto, also known to his family as "Chicapan" worked as a welder with Kubota Manufacturing and was a member of St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church. He enjoyed helping others, was a wonderful mechanic, a classic car enthusiast, and the life of the party when he was with his family.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 25 years, Julia Perez Hernandez; children, Jeanette Arlene Santaclara Perez, Pablo Ernesto Santaclara Perez, Ramona Juliet Santaclara Perez, all of Mt. Airy; brothers, Felipe Santaclara Jimenez of Cornelia, Pablo Santaclara Jimenez and Jorge Santaclara Jimenez, both of Arkansas; sisters, Maria Guadalupe Santaclara Jimenez, Leticia Santaclara Jimenez, both of Cornelia; Lourdes Santaclara Jimenez of Cheran Michoacan, Mexico; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
