Funeral services for Geneva Stewart Ivester, 94, of Demorest, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Keith L. Ivester and the Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Ivester went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019 at her residence.

Born Sept. 4, 1925, in Clarkesville, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Effie Mae Wheeler Stewart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van B. Ivester; sister, Louise Patterson; brothers, Lee Roy Stewart, Doug Stewart, Billy Stewart, Bobby Stewart, Buddy Stewart, Johnny Stewart, and Herbert Stewart.

Geneva was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Church of God in Mableton. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and was an avid traveler. Most of all, she loved spending precious time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Deborah Ivester of Macon, and Dr. Keith L. and Debbie Ivester of Cleveland, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ryan Elliott Ivester and Lindsey Ivester, and Carrie Ivester, all of Cleveland, Tennessee; sisters, Sue Terry of Cornelia,  and Winnie Lou Tench of Clarkesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Willene Stewart of Mt. Airy, Herman Stewart of Buckhead, and Jimmy and Jeanell Stewart of Demorest; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the service hour Friday.
