Graveside funeral services for Geraldine Stowers Burton, 86, of Clarkesville, will be held at noon, Thursday, March 31, at Yonah Memorial Gardens. Mr. Roy E. Kelley will officiate.
Mrs. Burton went to be with Lord Friday, March 25, 2022.
Born Nov. 29, 1935, in Sautee, Mrs. Burton was the daughter of the late Claude and Leola Stowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Roy "Bill" Burton; daughter, Deborah Kay Bramblett; brother, Charles Stowers; and sisters, Moreen Cook and Claudine Benton. Mrs. Burton was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Dwayne and Joan Stephens of Eutawville, South Carolina and grandchildren, David Tobey, Luke Bramblett, Megan Jordan, Virginia Stephens, and William Cole Stephens as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Home and Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
