Graveside services for Imogene Stamey Dawkins, 74, of Gainesville, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Gastley and Mr. Stanley Brookshire officiating.

Mrs. Dawkins passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022.

Born Sept. 5, 1947, at the Charm House in Clarkesville, she was the youngest daughter of the late Charles Claude and Mamie Allen Stamey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde, Johnny, and Charles Stamey and by a sister, Margaret Wilbanks.

Imogene was a graduate of Gainesville State College and held various positions during her working career. She retired from Innovata as a data analyst. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, crafting, painting art, and being outdoors.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Jerome Thomas Jerry Dawkins of Gainesville; sons and their spouses, Kyle Thomas Dawkins and Julie Phillips of Watkinsville and Casey Jerome Dawkins and Erin Riley of Takoma Park, Maryland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Zach Zaccagnino of Lompoc, California, Frances and Joe Trotter of Gainesville, and Vera Roberts of Mt. Airy; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
