Funeral services for Jackie Dyer Williams, 69, of Demorest, were held Sunday, April 11, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tyler Creel officiating. Interment followed the service at Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest.  

  Mrs. Williams went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

  Born Sept. 23, 1951, at the Charm House in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of the late Jack J. and Christine Whitlock Dyer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Tia Dyer.

  She was a Medical Lab Technician with Northeast Georgia Medical Center with over 26 years of loyal service. Mrs. Williams enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting and she was also a hairdresser. She was a phenomenal cook, she never met a stranger, and everyone always knew where they stood with her. Mrs. Williams was a member of Demorest Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Leon C. Williams of Demorest; sons and daughters-in-law, Justin and Deborah Williams of Mt. Airy, Danny and Marie Williams of Mt. Airy, and Michael and Morgan Williams of Gillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Susan D. and Mitchel Smith of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Angile and Dede Dyer of Demorest, and Wendell and Angela Dyer of Lula; brother, Mike Dyer of Hollywood; grandchildren, Alexis Elrod (Reece) of Dacula, and Connor Williams and Elijah Williams of Mt. Airy; great-grandchildren, Adam Williams, Charlie Williams and Ruby Parker Williams; special cousins, Jan Lloyd, Gwinn Hunnicutt, Juanita Crumley and Elaine Free; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and many friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
