Funeral services for James Charles Grant, 72, of Cornelia, were held Monday, Oct. 21, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Preacher Marty Kilby officiating. Interment followed in Level Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Grant went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 18, 2019.
Born Aug. 24, 1947, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late J.C. and Tonnie Lillian Keesler Grant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Anthony Grant.
Mr. Grant worked for BI-LO Supermarket as an assistant grocery bagger for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. James loved living life and loved people, but most of all he LOVED the Lord. He was an avid sports fan, he loved collecting jerseys.
Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Mickey Watkins of Cornelia; sister, Alice Kay Grant, of San Antonio, Texas.
Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
