Funeral services for Jean Church Smith, 64, of Clarkesville, were held Saturday, June 25, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. The Rev. Terry Rice officiated. Interment followed in the Level Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Smith passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Born Jan. 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Jake Church and Lucille Hallford Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky J. Church.
Mrs. Smith began her career with Piedmont Automotive just after high school and continued until her retirement. Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, mother, and Nana, and was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid Bulldog fan who enjoyed housekeeping and working with flowers.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd Smith of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Shay and Savynna Smith of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Kale Mason of Mt. Airy; grandsons, Tucker and Chipper Smith and Caden Hamilton; brother and sister-in-law, David J. and Freda Church of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Nancy Church of Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews.
