Funeral services for Jerry Lee Fortenberry Sr., 60, of Mt. Airy, were held Thursday, June 3, at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Bro. Stan Davis officiating.
Mr. Fortenberry passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at his residence.
Born Feb. 7, 1961, in Demorest, he was the son of the late Bobby Lee and Mary Beatrice Kinsey Fortenberry.
Jerry retired from Habersham Metal Products Company with many years of service. In his spare time, he was a master craftsman who enjoyed woodworking and automobiles. Most of all, Jerry was a very hardworking man who was devoted to taking care of his family and friends. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Jeanette Keenan Fortenberry of Mt. Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Nicole Fortenberry of Powhatan, Virginia, and Jesse Dakota and Britnee Fortenberry of Eltopia, Washington; grandchildren, Gracie Leigh Fortenberry and Garrett Lee Fortenberry, both of Powhatan, Virginia; sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Jim Skeen of Clarkesville, and Linda Erwin of Gainesville; several nephews, nieces, other relatives, and a host of friends.
