Funeral services for Jesse Holbrook, 79, of Auburn, were held Tuesday, Sept.15, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with the Rev. Robert Nix and Shelia Lindsey officiating. Interment followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens, Demorest.

Mr. Holbrook went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, following an extended illness.

Born Jan. 17, 1941, in Cornelia, he was a son of the late Frank Holbrook and Alice Love. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ped Love; brother, Roy Lee Holbrook; and sister, Wilma McCracken. 

He was of the Baptist faith. During his working career, Mr. Holbrook was involved in maintenance with several businesses. He was very skilled in making sure everything was always in good working order in the various businesses he had been associated with. This trait carried over to his home life, always working on a project at his home.

Survivors include, his loving wife of 61 years, Lois Ann Nix Holbrook; son, James Holbrook of Commerce; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Chris Ward of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Debbie Holbrook of Carnesville; grandchildren, Brandi Allen, Nikki Scarbrough, Kim Reese, and Lauren Nelson;  great-grandchildren,  Avery, Abby, Asher, Jesse, Molly, Lainey, Will, Jack, Lilly, and Beau.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
