Funeral services for John Arlin Hembree, 94, of Clarkesville, were held Thursday, Oct. 17, at the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Minister Martin Davis officiated. Interment followed at Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hembree passed away Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 21, 1925, in Douglasville, he was the son of the late Charlie and Minnie Norton Hembree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalyn Williford Hembree.
John was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from General Motors, where he worked as a forklift operator. He was a member of The Church of Christ in Clarkesville.
Survivors include his daughters and spouses, Laurie and Lewis Williamson, Faye and Ronald Ludman, and Deborah Gagne; grandchildren and spouses, John and Jalita Williamson, Lindy and Don Brice, Brandy and Chris Boyd, Harley and Heather Hubbard, and Claire and Michael Davenport; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Dakota, Matthew, Nathan, Chris, Cody, Kelsi, Katie, Carden, Aurelia, Penelope, Elias, Clayton, Hunter, and Payton; great-great-grandchildren, Kaylen and Paislee.
