  Funeral services for Johnny Mack King, 71, of Cornelia, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov.10, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with the Rev. Scott Ledbetter and the Rev. Benjamin Hawks officiating. Interment will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

  Mr. King went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021.

  Born on Dec. 3, 1949, he was the son of the late W. G.  and Gladys Scott King, Habersham County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Gosnell; sister, Lucille King Hamilton; and brothers; W. C. King, Herbert King, Silas James King, Eugene King, and Thomas King.

  Mr. King was a member of Alto Congregational Holiness Church.  He was retired from Fieldale Corporation with 50 years of loyal and dedicated service.   Mr. King loved to cook and sing.   

  Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Sandra Elaine Rogers King of Cornelia; daughter, Ivy Gosnell of Cornelia; sons, Johnny Gosnell of Cornelia, and Anthony Gosnell of Cornelia; sisters, Martha King of Cornelia, Ella Mae (Ulous) Harris of Clarkesville, Betty (J. L.)  Browner of Baldwin, and Everean King of Cornelia; brothers, Matthew King of Toccoa, and Anthony King of Cornelia; 10 grandchildren; and mother-in-law Thelma Rogers of Cornelia.

  The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until the funeral hour.

  Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel, Demorest.
