Funeral services for Kathy Diane Parker Boswell, 66, of Cornelia, were held Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Kathy Nicholson officiating. Interment followed at Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Boswell passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
Born May 28, 1954, in Miami, Florida, she was a daughter of the late James Dewey "J.D." Parker and Cora Kathleen Leachman Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Gene Graham; brother, Talmadge Sam Vandiver; sisters, Sarah Baxa and Frances Sistare.
She loved everyone and was "Mama D" to everyone who knew her. Ms. Boswell was artistic and enjoyed painting, reading and talking about the Bible, feeding folks and giving advice.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Jerry Pennino, Kimberly Pierce, Frances Graham and Tracy Boswell, all of Cornelia, Tiffany and Jason Sellers of Mt. Airy, and Ginger Emmett of Cleveland; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Parker of Maysville; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1:30 pm prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
