Funeral services for Kenneth "Ken" Lewis Alexander, 88, of Demorest, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 30, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor David Terrell and Pastor Terry Rice officiating, Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Pastor Greg Miller officiating.

Mr. Alexander passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Mr. Alexander was born April 12, 1934, in White County, to the late Marlin Alexander and Dicie Palmer Alexander. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lavaughn Hampton, Edith Tyner, Lorene Lowery, Janice Webb, and Gail Brown and his brothers, C.L. Dillard, Jack Dillard, and Curtis Alexander. Kenneth was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Kenneth was a member of Cornelia Christian Church, where he served as a deacon for over 50 years. He was the owner and operator of Ken-Bar Manufacturing with 37 years of dedicated service, and was known as the "Go Kart King." Kenneth also served on the board of directors for Regions Bank for a number of years. Ken was part of the "R.O.M.E.O. Club," where he loved to eat a meal with his friends. Ken was known to his grandchildren as "Papa" and was known to his great-grandchildren as "Great-Papa." He loved to go camping in his motorhome and was part of the Georgia Mountaineers Motorhome Club. Kenneth will be remembered as a hard worker, successful entrepreneur, and a humble man.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Margie Colston Alexander of Demorest; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Robert Troendly of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kay Alexander of Sautee; grandchildren, Christy Abernathy and Marty, Kenny Wilson and Caprise, Andy Alexander and Amber, and Allyson Hicks and Justin; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Edie, Koen, Deklan, Sawyer, and Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m., Friday, July 29, at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made in Kenneth's memory to Cornelia Christian Church, 1244 Hwy 441 Bypass, Cornelia, GA 30531.
