Graveside services for Lanier Hubbard, 84, of Lula, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. 

  Mr. Hubbard passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020.

  Born Nov. 22, 1935, in Lula, he was a son of the late Guy and Clara Scales Hubbard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, J.M. Hubbard; and a sister, Betty Motes Simmons.

  Mr. Hubbard was a U.S. Army veteran and was a retired electrician with Midway Electric. He was a member of Homer United Methodist Church, as well as a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. Hubbard was a handyman who was very active in the community and was an assistant Scout Master with Troop 106.

  Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bobbie C. Hubbard of Lula; son and daughter-in-law, Stacey and Susan Hubbard of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Mark, Ryan, Lauren, Shane, Asa, Ean, Hannah and Carlie; great-grandchildren, Ava, Sophia, Mason, Chloe, Jameson and Bennett; former daughter-in-law, Angela Victoria Hubbard of Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, David and Raylene Hubbard of Cumming; sister, Lanelle Headen of Cedartown; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends, prior to the service, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those in attendance are reminded to adhere to public health and social distancing guidelines.
