Funeral services for Lois Louise Holbrooks Hunter, 79, of Sailors Road, Hull, will be Sunday, April 3, at 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Truelove officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Mt. Airy.
Mrs. Hunter passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her residence.
Born Dec. 30, 1942, in Stephens County, she was a daughter of the late William Burris Holbrooks and Mary Jane Holbrooks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
She lived a greater part of her life in Habersham County before moving to Madison County. She was retired from Habersham Mills and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. Her hobbies included baking and sewing.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Lanita Hunter of Mt. Airy and Dolores and Bryan Hollister of Cornersville, Tennessee; three sons and daughter-in-law, Tim Hunter of Hull, Gary and Pamela Hunter of Mt. Airy, and Jeff Hunter of Toccoa; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Tunney Holbrooks of Toccoa; and sister, Susie Holbrooks of Toccoa.
The family will receive friends at Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from noon until the service time.
