Mrs. Thomas went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 30, 2022.

Born April 7, 1926, in White County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Oma Hicks Palmer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hughes Thomas; sisters, Nellie Elrod and Betty Pardue; and a brother, Charles Palmer. Louise was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Louise retired from Piedmont Automotive with over 35 years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she enjoyed farm life, working in her yard, vegetable gardening, tending to her flower beds, watching folks bale hay and watching the cows. Most of all, Louise loved her family and friends dearly. She was a member of Return Baptist Church where she previously taught the Tiny Tots Sunday school class for many years.

Survivors include her son, J.W. Thomas of Demorest as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
