Funeral services for Lucille Wade Brown Armour, 91, of Alto, were held Monday, Feb. 24, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Jacob Armour officiating. Interment followed in the Holland Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Armour passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020.
Born April 26, 1928, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late Rever and Mabell Thompson Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Delmus Shockley, and Ben Brown; brothers, Eferd Wade, Loyd Wade, Buford Wade, and Arthur Wade.
Mrs. Armour was a member of Pine Grove Holiness Church. She worked for Mount Vernon Mills with 20 years of service and worked for Piedmont Cleaners with 30 years of service. Ms. Lucille was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Margaret Shockley of Alto; sisters, Estelle Brewer and Evelyn Hansford, both of Alto; grandsons, Marc Shockley and Kim, Michael Shockley, Matthew Shockley and Katie; and nine great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
