Funeral services for Mary Frances Mullinax Colston, 81, of Cornelia, were held Tuesday, May 11, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Wesley Purcell and the Rev. Chris York officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Colston passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021.
Born May 19, 1939, in Clarkesville, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Clarence Mullinax and Lora Ophelia Allen Mullinax. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Lonzo Colston; son, Charles Russell Colston; and sister, Betty Stamey.
Mrs. Colston worked for Piedmont Automotive as a Pre-Assembler for many years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a loving mother and nana.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Jan Colston of Clarkesville; grandson, Andrew Russell Colston; nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
