Private graveside services for Mary Jewell Blaylock Kelly, 94, of Clarkesville, were held at Dillard United Methodist Church Cemetery Sunday, April 26.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Kelly passed away Friday, April 24, 2020.

  Born April 17, 1926, in LaFayette, Mrs. Kelly was the daughter of the late Paul Blaylock Sr. and the late Jennie Jewell Robinson Blaylock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by stepmother, Viola Franklin Blaylock; her husband, Samuel Ray Kelly; infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kelly; brothers, Paul Blaylock Jr., Fred Blaylock, and Frank Blaylock; as well as Jobe and Martha Franklin, who were very instrumental in her childhood.

Mrs. Kelly went to school in Hollywood and Clarkesville also attended Rabun Gap Nacoochee School when it was a two-year college. She retired from Piedmont Automotive and enjoyed volunteering with Sharing and Caring. Mrs. Kelly was a lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and loved her church family.  

  Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, David and Hye Kyong Kelly of Cataula, and Fred and Lynn Kelly of Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon K. and Larry Cunningham of Quitman, and Martha K. and Jonathan Cantrell of Hollywood; grandchildren, Robert Cunningham (Susan), Chris Cunningham (Kristen), McCree Simmons, Patrick Kelly, Adam Kelly (Hailen), Jennifer Stowe (John), Rebecca Kelly, Jonathan Cantrell Jr. (Alisha), Courtney Tanaskovic (Rade) and Samuel Cantrell; as well as eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 2557, Clarkesville, GA, 30523.  

The family would like to express deep appreciation to the staff of Magnolia Hills and Habersham Home East, private caregivers and Dr. James Hamilton for the wonderful care they provided for Mrs. Kelly.
