A private family graveside service for Mary Ruth Holbrooks Stephens, 82, of Demorest, will be held at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Dr. Kenneth Franklin officiating.
Mrs. Stephens passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Born June 21, 1937, in Mount Airy, she was a daughter of the late Alex Andrew and Minnie Gertrude Ayers Holbrooks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Furman Stephens; brothers, Billy, Raymond, Winford, Andrew Junior, and William Slim Holbrooks; and sister, Ruby Stamey.
Mrs. Stephens was owner and operator of Stevens Feed and Grain. She was a lifelong resident of Habersham County and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Evelyn Holbrooks of Baldwin, Louise Holbrooks of Cornelia, and Frances Holbrooks; several nieces and nephews.
