Funeral services for Matthew Monetti, 79, of Baldwin, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at St. Mark Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Monetti passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022.
Born Dec. 12, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Michael and Carmella Villaggio Monetti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Charlotte Bongiovanni and Michelle Pucciarello.
Matthew retired as a machinist from Johnson & Johnson Family Company after 25 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing, tinkering with his machinery, and creating various things for his family. Matthew was a faithful member of St. Mark Catholic Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Dottie Lavinia Monetti of Baldwin; sons and daughters-in-law, Matthew A. and Anne Monetti of Lawrence, New Jersey and Richard and Dawn Monetti of Toms River, New Jersey; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Kintner of Clarkesville; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Frances Monetti of Monroe, New Jersey; sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Michael Juganne of Vero Beach, Florida; nine grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Those attending visitation and funeral service are requested to observe all social distancing guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control regarding Covid-19.
