Funeral services for Michael Clyde Stamey, 63, of Clarkesville, were held Sunday, Feb. 2, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Phillips and the Rev. Chad Holbrooks officiating. Interment followed in Clarkesville City Cemetery.
Mr. Stamey passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020.
Born July 24, 1956, in Demorest, he was a son of the late Clyde and Ruby Stamey.
Michael had a sweet spirit and was very respectful. He loved all and enjoyed helping others. Michael also enjoyed crafts, Bingo, and Bible school. He was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Cindy Stamey of Clarkesville; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ronnie Arrowood of Demorest; special aunt, Mary Ruth Stephens of Demorest; niece, Allison Stamey of Clarkesville; nephews, Justin Anderson and wife, Beth of Demorest and Jonathan Arrowood of Demorest; and great-nephews, Dalton Cobb, Gabriel Anderson, Brody Anderson, Landon Arrowood, and Jonah Anderson.
