Funeral services for Milton C. Ferguson, 72, of Cornelia, were held Sunday, Oct. 6, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Benfield, the Rev. Scott Ledbetter, and the Rev. Jacob Armour officiating. Burial followed in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ferguson passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2019.
Born on Jan. 7, 1947, in Cornelia, he was a son of the late Roy and Clyde Colbert Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Burke Ferguson.
Mr. Ferguson retired from the United States Postal Service in Baldwin as a rural mail carrier. He enjoyed gardening, mechanics, fishing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Ferguson was a member of Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Goss Ferguson of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Chuck Armour of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Sloane and Breann Ferguson of Commerce; grandchildren, Erin (Seth) Roberts, Emily (Kelvin) Roberts, Reagen Ferguson and Logan Ferguson; great-grandchildren, Mattilyn, Sadie and Lacey; and brother, Dennis Ferguson of Cornelia.
