Private memorial services will be held at a later date for Nancy H. Stovall, 99, of Cornelia.
Mrs. Stovall passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at her residence.
Born May 5, 1923, in Asheville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Charles Crawford Hipps and Pertha Forster Hipps. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H. Calvin Stovall and her sister, Joye H. Adams.
She was postmaster for the U.S. post office in Homer until her retirement. She was a devoted member of Cornelia United Methodist Church, active member of many civic and community organizations, and a loyal volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 30 years. She had a great appreciation for travel, the arts, and music.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Bill Loyd of Cornelia; niece, Fran Jarrett and her husband, Gary of Toccoa; and special friend and caregiver, Robin Armour.
