A graveside service for Norma Jeane Church Lovell, 81, of Clarkesville, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Stonepile Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Connie Berry officiating.
Mrs. Lovell went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020.
Born Nov. 1, 1939, in Clarkesville, she was a daughter of the late Lester Wade Church and Rosaleen Murray Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lovell Jr.
Norma Jeane retired from the United States Forestry Service with many years of dedicated service. In her spare time, she loved a good joke and was very fond of parks and local recreational areas. Norma Jeane had a great sense of humor and was game for anything to get a quick laugh. She especially enjoyed visits from her grandkids and long evening drives. Norma Jeane was a sweet and kind woman to all.
Survivors include her children, Dennis Mark and Kathy Lovell of Florida, Debbie and Pradeep Patnaik of Sharpsburg, Bobby and Kelly Lovell of Dillard, and Nicole Lovell Ford of Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and JoAnn Church of Clarkesville; sisters, Virginia Eller of Clarkesville, Linda Perry of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Lance Shelnut, Amy Lovell, Christy Ford, Sabrina Lovell, and Donna Jean Lovell; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
