A memorial service for Patricia Ann Davis Alewine, 76, of Alto, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Hillside Memorial Chapel, Clarkesville, with the Rev. Dwight Ogier officiating. A reception will be held immediately following the service.

Mrs. Alewine passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 following a brief illness.

Born June 29, 1943, in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Alton Seaford and Phoebe Jeanne Goodwill Davis. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Wayne Alewine.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1962, started college at the University of Miami, then transferred and graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in education. Mrs. Alewine was also a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was an educator, and later a banker with First Citizens Bank of Toccoa. Mrs. Alewine was an entertainer and loved to have parties and host family and friends in her home. She was a member of Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Hope and Jon Hurt-Smith of Cornelia, and Holly and Ray Skinner of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Bleu and Tonya Alewine of Savannah; grandchildren, Nick (Hallie) Carter, Courtney (Devon) Fields, Bobby Davis Hurt Smith (Meredith), Phoebe Alewine, Winnie Alewine, Brittany Robinett, John Robinett, Stuart Robinett, and Ryan Robinett; and great-grandchildren, Tucker Fields and Maven Robinett; and cousin, Alan Davis of Florida.
