Funeral services for Phebe Flarnell Thomas Dodd, 80, of Dover, Tennessee, formerly of Alto, were held Saturday, Feb. 1, at Crossroads Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Elrod officiating. Interment followed in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Dodd went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020.
Born Aug. 28, 1939, in Hall County, she was a daughter of the late James Grayson and Myrtle Walker Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Thomas, Bobby Thomas, and Charlie Thomas; and sisters, Dorothy King and Winnie Greer.
Ms. Dodd retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and gospel singings, as well as watching the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nancy Dodd of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Brent Shelton of Dover, Tennessee; grandson, Joshua Dodd of Alto; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
