Funeral services for Phillip Barrett, 70, of Clarkesville, will be held Friday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Chapel with Dr. Keith Allison and the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Yonah Memorial Gardens
Mr. Barrett passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021.
Born Sept. 21, 1950, in Helen, Mr. Barrett was the son of the late Cecil J. and Nora Mae Burch Barrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Preston Tribble; brothers-in-law Marty Tribble and Timothy Tribble; and sister-in-law, Lora Tribble Thompson.
He was an electronics repairman and the owner and operator of Barrett Electronics. He was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include wife, LaBrada Mae Tribble Barrett of Clarkesville; sons, Brad (Angela) Barrett of Clarkesville, and Jeremy Barrett of Alto; brothers, Larry (Betty) Barrett of Flowery Branch, and Ricky (Judy) Barrett of Clarkesville; sister, Lucille Barrett Brown (Leon) of Clarkesville; mother-in-law, Velva Forrester Tribble of Lula; sister-in-law, Rita Tribble Walker (David) of Alto; grandson, Preston Barrett of Clarkesville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
