Memorial services for Phillip Lee Church, 73, of Clarkesville, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the memorial service hour Friday. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Mr. Church passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at his residence.
Born May 7, 1946, in Demorest, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Sallie Lou Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Herbert Church; and brother-in-law, Morris Williams.
Mr. Church was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was a farmer and retired sawmiller.
Survivors include, stepdaughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Kevin Addis of Mt. Airy; sister, Carolyn Williams of Demorest; sisters and brothers-in-law, Laverne and David Chamberlin of Gainesville, and Janet and Jerry Taylor of Demorest; sister-in-law, Linda Church of Demorest; two grandchildren, Kaiti Addis and Rhett Addis; 12 nieces and nephews; as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
