Ray Junior Arwood

Funeral services for Ray Junior Arwood, 92, of Clarkesville, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with the Rev. Clarence Reynolds, the Rev. George Dean,  and the Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Creek Cemetery with the Rev. David Rudeseal officiating at the graveside.

Mr. Arwood passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022.

Born Apr. 14, 1929, in Hiawassee, he was a son of the late Glen Mayberry Arrowood and Zora Bell Arrowood. He was also preceded in death by son, Curtis Arrowood. Mr. Arwood was a sawmiller at Church's Sawmill. He was a jack-of-all-trades, liked to fish, repair small engines, and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Maxwell Arrowood of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law, James Arrowood (Dorothy) of Clarkesville, Earnest Byrd Arrowood (Pam) of Clarkesville, and Benny Arrowood; brother and sister-in-law, William Arrowood (Brenda) of Cornelia; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
