No formal services are planned at this time for Richard Eugene "Buddy" Garris, 75, of Mt. Airy.
Mr. Garris went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Mr. Garris was born March 13, 1947 in Sylacauga, Alabama to the late W.J. and Yvonne (Trigg) Garris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Wall; brother, Billy Garris; son-in-law, Lamar Clark; and daughter-in-law, Laura Lee Weaver.
He was a retired construction worker for E.R. Snell Company.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Warren Garris, Mt. Airy; daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie Garris Clark, Baldwin, Laura Garris, Mt. Airy, Melissa and Robert Woodall, Cornelia, and Kathy and Ron Carey, Baldwin; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruby Garris, Cleveland; grandchildren and spouses, Mysti and Thad Sonesen, Joshua Woodall, Joey and Alissa Carey, Elizabeth Carey, and Dakota Woodall; great-grandchildren, Marlee Woodall, Warren Carey, and Zachary Carey; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Georgia, 922 East Morris Street, Dalton, GA 30721.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
