Graveside services for Robert Douglas "Doug" Trotman, 79, of Habersham County, will be held at Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa, Sunday, June 13, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. David Ritchey officiating.

Mr. Trotman went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Born July 30, 1941, in Hollywood, he was the son of the late Rev. William Aaron Trotman and Christabel Foster Trotman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved stepmother, Hazel Brown Trotman; sisters, Mary Jo Gomillion and Dortha Ann Arceneaux; brothers, W.A. Trotman Jr., Sam Trotman, and Ron Trotman.

He was a graduate of Stephens County High School and worked at Gilbert & Bennett as a shipping clerk. He was a member of Toccoa First Baptist Church for many years before moving to Clarkesville.

Doug is survived by his sister, Sue Trotman Fitzgerald of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law, Dorothy McClain Trotman of Montgomery, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Trotman Lottie-Moon Fund of First Baptist Church, 475 E. Tugalo St., Toccoa, GA 30577.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, Baldwin.
