A service for Stafford Bernard Brown Sr., 69, of Cornelia, will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery located in Canton at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Mr. Brown died Sept. 25, 2021, at his home in Cornelia.
Born March 29, 1952, in Darlington, South Carolina which is in Hartsville County. Stafford grew up on a farm and was raised by his adopted grandparents, who have preceded him in death. He played football in college for South Carolina State and went on to become a paratrooper in the Army.
Stafford Brown Sr. ran his own business, Handyman Can Do, and enjoyed working to serve members of his local community. He was committed to always working hard and doing his best. He loved his family and enjoyed talking with his children and grandchildren. Stafford spent his free time with his wife, often listening to the oldies station together or watching TV in the evening.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Brown; sons, Stafford Brown Jr., Robert Brown, Alexander Brown, and Jonathan Brown; daughter, Stephanie Brown; some of his siblings and numerous grandchildren.
