Funeral services for Stephan "Steve" McDowell Hill, 65, of Clermont, were held Sunday, May 22, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. David Simpson officiated.
Mr. Hill passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Steve was born Jan. 10, 1957 to the late Tifton McDowell "Mac" and Mary Ann Westbrook Hill. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Anita "Deeleen" Hill and sister, Sharon Hill.
Raised in Cornelia, Steve owned and operated Hill's Lawncare, a successful landscaping company for 30 years before retiring in 2021. Steve was a long-time member of and generous contributor to Lanier Christian Church in Gainesville.
Steve is survived by his children and their spouses, Chastity and Richard Adams, Chad and Emily Bennett, Amanda Hill, Beth Hill, and Mac and Cortney Hill; his sister, Susan Reems and her husband, Steve Reems; his seven grandchildren, Breana, Sarah Beth, Olivia, Charlee, NaKatlyn, Taylor, and Elijah; and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
