A funeral service for Susie Belle Smith Raper, 100, of Marietta, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, in the Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with the Rev. Don Mason officiating.
Mrs. Raper passed away Friday, April 23, 2021.
Born Oct. 27, 1920, in Ashland, she was one of eight siblings. Susie was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Cleaston Raper.
She graduated from Piedmont College in Demorest. Susie lived in Marietta for almost 70 years and taught in the Cobb County Schools for 37 years. She was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Don Raper and his wife, Joni, and Henry Raper, and his wife, Pam; five grandsons, Paxton Caratti, Corey Raper, Luke Raper, Spencer Caratti, and Preston Raper; seven great-granchildren, Zoey, Sebastian, Clay, Kyleigh, Kensley, Cora, and Issac.
Flowers are appreciated or contributions may be made in loving memory of Susie to Sandy Plains Baptist Church.
